It is said that it takes just 0.13 seconds, on average, for love at first sight to work its magic. It's no different to falling in love with your home. When you know, you know.
However, for some, this love is short-lived and should something better come along then… sayonara. Ahead of Valentine’s Day this Sunday 14th February, UK homeowners were asked what they loved most about their property.
New research by,
GetAgent.co.uk, has revealed what we love the most about our homes, what we would like to improve and what percentage of UK homeowners are only in it for the money.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
For the majority of homeowners, 42% of respondents stated that the location of their home is what they love most.
Big is beautiful for 20% of homeowners, who said that the size and space of their property was what attracted them the most, with 12% rating their garden as the most loved aspect. The interior style, the kitchen, the neighbours and the bedroom also ranked highly.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
There’s always room for improvement in a relationship though and more space is the improvement that 31% would make. Homeowners would also like a bigger garden (17%), a better location (15%) and a bigger driveway or garage (14%).
It turns out that while we love a lot about our homes, more than half of us are only in it for the money. Fifty-three per cent of homeowners would break things off with their current property if it meant they could swap to a more valuable home.
Buying a home is arguably one of the longest relationships we’re likely to undertake, other than choosing our life partner, so it’s important that you find plenty to love about a property before taking the plunge.
