Dobbies Garden Centres, are gas powered rather than charcoal. And mostly, it’s men who make the decision about which model to buy.
Outdoor trends
The firm is reporting rocketing sales are up following an inspirational Chelsea Flower Show. The past few months have seen fairly average Spring weather, but sales of outdoor heating is almost double (49%) what it was this time last year. Solar lighting is also popular for extending entertaining after dark.
This underlines the trend for putting as much effort into creating outdoor as indoor well as indoor living spaces.
It's no longer just about a sizzling sausage but family dishes created on a rotisserie, a smoker or wood burning pizza oven.
