Charity sponsorship: OliverFinn will sell your house for £1000

Oct 27, 2011
Estate agent OliverFinn has donated a £1000 house sale voucher, to be auctioned during a charity musical evening at George IV pub, Chiswick High Road on 16th November. Raising the Roof is organised by Chiswick residents to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and this donation is a welcome boost to organisers who have a fundraising target of £8,000. The money raised will go to the research taking place at the Hammersmith Hospital. The voucher can be redeemed with OliverFinn who will sell the winning bidder’s property on production of the voucher, saving the seller £5000+VAT (£1000+VAT voucher, instead of the usual £6000+VAT fee). Area volunteer manager for Cancer Research UK in West London is Lucie Barney:  “The event is being organised by a small group of locals who only met each other two months ago and involves local musicians and businesses. "The charity is a heartfelt cause for the fundraisers and the sponsor, with some survivors in the group and some having lost loved ones to the disease." An evening of great local music acts including a cool jazz singer, a singer songwriter, a larger than life acoustic operatic duo, a passionate pop/soul singer, and a local retro Indie band. There will be a raffle and an auction with some amazing prizes up for grabs all donated kindly by local businesses. Items for auction include:
  • London Wasps voucher
  • 2011/2012 Arsenal signed shirt
  • Signed and framed photo of Lewis Hamilton
  • Meal for two at Côte Brasserie
  • Meal for two at Sams Brasserie & Bar
  • Four tickets for Headliners at George IV... and many more items.
Raising the Roof tickets are £10 and are available to buy here. Follow Raising the Roof on Twitter.
