Chiswick estate agent closures continue

Aug 1, 2016
The closures of estate agents in Chiswick looks set to continue with the departure of the long established firm Faron Sutaria. Earlier in the month Haus Properties shut its branch on Chiswick High Road and further consolidation in the area is predicted - as reported on local news website ChiswickW4.com. Faron Sutaria has traded from its Turnham Green Terrace branch for over twenty years. Previously an independent agency with its head office in Notting Hill, the firm was recently incorporated into the Countrywide national chain. This organisation also owns John D Wood and Hamptons both of which have offices in Chiswick. Countrywide is the UK's largest estate agency business with over 11,000 employees and 1,500 offices operating under 47 brands. Christian Harper at HarperFinn predicted such closures: "Further to Haus leaving Chiswick last week, today's announcement further supports the view that estate agency in the 21st century is all about Rightmove and Zoopla, and not about shops with plasma screens."
