In an interview with local news publisher www.ChiswickW4.com Christian Harper of Chiswick's flat-fee estate agent
OliverFinn, said September transaction levels were dismal compared to previous years.
The latest Land Registry figures show average prices still challenge all-time highs and he is confident October will be better.
The average sale price for property in W4 since the beginning of June was £786,798 with 66 properties reported as changing hands so far. The previous peak was reached in the third quarter of 2011 when prices averaged £744,451.
