Hounslow Heritage Guides are doing two walks along Chiswick Mall on Sunday 21 July and Sunday 29 September; one in the Village on Sunday 18 August and finally a ‘Ghosts and Bodies’ walk on Sunday 27 October.
As reported on local news website Chiswick Calendar, all walks start at 2.30pm at St Nicholas Church, on the corner of the Chiswick Mall and Church Street, and will end back where they started, one and a half hours later. Teas will be available in the church after the walks.
A WALK IN THE PAST
The Village walks will include one of the oldest buildings in Hounslow, which is said to have been the place where a famous highwayman had his wedding breakfast.
The Mall walks will cover the beautiful riverside street and the lives of aristocrats and river workers.
The Ghosts and Bodies walk, as it takes place close to Halloween, will be an enjoyable yet scary tour of the many haunting and deaths which have been reported over the centuries in Chiswick.
