Chiswick's portal to the Upside Down

The fictional small town of Hawkins, Indiana, (as depicted in the Netflix series, Stranger Things) is the location of a portal to the alternate dimension known as the Upside Down. However, Chiswick's upside down is not a gateway between Earth and another dimension, as far as we know.

It is the latest artwork to be displayed opposite the tube station on Turnham Green Terrace. The new piece is called ‘Sky’ by Sally Gatie and it resides on what is known as the W4th Plinth.

As reported on local news website www.ChiswickW4 the artist created ‘Sky’ as part of a body of work showing the importance of holding on to childhood through a child's view of the world, dangling upside down in an upside down world. Read the full article.
