Do you sound better when you sing in the shower?

Aug 30, 2014
If so, this is your opportunity to shine, win great prizes - and raise funds for Children in Need. Many people sing in the bathroom because the tiled surfaces and lack of soft furnishings create an echo, helping to give the voice depth. With this in mind Twyford Bathrooms has launched its national Bathroom Singer of the Year 2014 competition, designed to discover original bathroom singing talent. Entrants will be able to register and donate their entry fee of £10 (or more!) to Children in Need, before uploading a 90 second - 2 minute clip of themselves, their friends or workmates, singing their hearts out in the bathroom. Background music is optional and the first 500 singers to register and donate will receive a free Bathroom Singer of the Year 2014 sponge-microphone. The best performances, oozing original talent, will appear across Twyford's social media platforms for public feedback. A final shortlist of six who will compete on a specially designed 'Bathroom Stage' at the national Grand Finale Sing-off on Saturday 8 November 2014. The winner will receive the 'Golden Mic', plus £1,000. The judging panel will be headed by celebrity TV presenter and singer Jonathan Wilkes. So whether you're pitch perfect, or have a voice that makes your cat yowl, it's your personality - and your quirky originality - the judges will look for.
