Geraldine Road is situated in the locality of
Strand on the Green, within the area of
Chiswick.
Strand grew as a fishing settlement with other river related industries, such as boat building and repairing, malting and laundering. When the area became fashionable in the mid-eighteenth century, some larger houses were built between the humbler cottages. With the decline of industry the area became entirely residential and was unofficially renamed Strand on the Green . With much local help and protest the area was granted its modern name officially by The Post Office in 1903.
