Little Ealing was once a sleepy hamlet surrounded by farmland and orchards.
In 1882 the land that was developed by the British Land Company. In 1883 the land was set out as the roads that we know today and split into separate auctions for sale. In 1883 the first auction was split into 150 plots. Approximately 100 of the plots were sold and subsequently terraced houses were built. The remaining 50 plots lay vacant for a decade until the final auction by which time the land was highly desirable to local builders who were building rapidly to support expanding local industry.
Little Ealing is well known as a leafy residential area and almost regarded as a village. It offers a community atmosphere, two popular primary schools; Little Ealing and Mount Carmel Catholic and a selection of local shops and pubs.
Little Ealing is located North of Brentford, East of Boston Manor, South of South Ealing and West of Gunnersbury.
