Chiswick estate agent OliverFinn appoints Nigel Toussaint to drive the company’s expansion.
OliverFinn’s Chiswick branch is the premier property service in W4. Due to expansion the directors need to take on an experienced sales manager to develop and grow the core business.
West London local Toussaint, has ten years’ experience in the property industry and prior to becoming an estate agent, he managed residential development projects all over London. “I didn’t want to join a run-of-the-mill estate agent with bored looking staff sitting behind a shop window.
“What attracted me to OliverFinn is that they don’t charge homeowners a percentage of the selling price like typical overpriced estate agents. You just pay a low fixed-fee which is better value for locals who want to sell their house or flat in Chiswick.
Although it is cheaper to sell a property through OliverFinn, the level of service is the same if not better, than others provide. “At the end of the day, all people want to do is to move on with their lives, so why should they have to pay through the nose? OliverFinn is definitely the way forward and I wanted to be a part of it.”
Managing director Christian Harper, is impressed with Toussaint’s proven track record: ‘Nigel’s strength is his calm and measured approach and his tenacity in progressing a sale to completion. This is a great asset in estate agency since moving home is one of the most stressful activities most people have to go through.
"He has a knack of quickly matching properties to the right buyer, finding angles they might not otherwise have considered."
Chiswick quick getaway gateway
Toussaint likes Chiswick because of the A4/A316 gateway out of London to the airport and the countryside - great for a quick getaway at weekends. Proximity to the river is handy as he likes to keep active by jogging, cycling and rowing. Rugby is another pursuit, a member of Hammersmith & Fulham RFC, he is part of the ailing veterans team (at the ripe old age of 42).

“I enjoy the cut and thrust of the buying process and I understand the property lifecycle from renting your first room, to being a first time buyer, to moving up to a family home. It’s all about understanding where people are in the cycle and helping them to move on, to make life changing decisions and not miss opportunities."
Toussaint is looking forward to using his professional experience to take the company forward. His solution-oriented approach and keen eye for detail provide the foundation necessary to close sales. “It is important to have solid procedures supporting the sales process in order to keep deals together until completion.
“I like the focus at OliverFinn. We don’t sell mortgages or insurance - all we do is sell property."
