OliverFinn joins the battle to combat homelessness

Oct 6, 2011
London estate agent OliverFinn has become a supporter of the Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) dedicated to eliminating the causes of homelessness. The Foundation brings together the whole estate agency industry to alleviate a major nationwide problem.  Funds are raised via activities and events such as golf days, coffee mornings, football tournaments, a round UK cycle event, and the great run series. The 2011 fundraising target is £100,000 and the money raised is distributed to national agencies Shelter, Crisis and The Salvation Army.  In London EAF supports help-the-homeless charities including Centrepoint, Broadway and St Mungo’s. The Foundation is especially concerned with homelessness caused by family breakdown and disputes, sexual and physical abuse in childhood or adolescence, having parents with drug or alcohol problems and previous experience of family homelessness. Did you know... •             If coffee had risen at the rate of house prices it would cost £20.22. Shelter 2010. •             Every night, over 7,200 young people stay at YMCA. Centrepoint 2010 Christian Harper of London's fixed fee estate agent OliverFinn: "Homelessness is a particularly relevant issue for those of us working in the property industry. Obviously we're in business to make a living but we've always tried to put something back into the community, with sponsorships etc. "It’s easy to forget how lucky we are to have a roof over our heads which is why we're delighted to be part of such a worthwhile cause."
